[Rapunzel smiles at the feed, tucking a strand of hair behind her ear - hair unbraided for once and showing its monstrous length.]

Hello? I was told by Allen that there were supply runs into Credinta and I was wondering if someone wouldn't mind getting me some shoes? The ground here isn't very safe to walk on I've found. But... I have a small problem.

[The feed goes down to her feet, toes wiggling. And yes. That's some hair that you also see nearby, told you it was longer out of the braid, Allen.]

I don't know what size shoe I need. I've never worn shoes in my entire life. So I don't know if there's a way to tell what size I'll need.

[She's about to cut off the feed when...] Oh! And a brush.

[Okay. Wow. Um. Taking a moment to simply stare at the feed and the huge coils of golden hair sprawling around the girl. Beyond being incredibly surprised at just how much of it there is, she's actually a little... jealous.]

[But Lenalee won't be mentioning that, no.] Ah... I could-- lend you my shoes, if you'd like. I know what size my feet are, so if they fit you... then I can try and find you a pair... whenever I end up going...

[Things have been distracting her from that trip lately. :T]

[Eighteen years worth of growth~ But your hair will grow back out, Lenalee! It's already a third of the way back to the length it was before, maybe a fourth.]

That would be so nice of you, but don't you need them to go out into town yourself? It would be rude of me if I just took your shoes. [But using them to size her own would make things easier.]

You haven't gone lately?

[She's still a little envious. It's been a long time since she's seen anyone with hair any longer than... well, probably Cross'— especially since many of the women at the Order either have short hair or keep it tied back so severely. And Rapunzel's is such a gorgeous golden colour!]

Ah— n-no, I don't. I have... another pair. It's hard to explain, but you don't have to worry.

[It would be easier to simply show the girl, she imagines.] ...no, I. I haven't gone at all yet. I planned to go last month, but... [she grows a little distant-sounding] things happened. With so many new people arriving lately, though, I think I should try and get through soon.

[Lenalee could always help Rapunzel with her hair? Even though she's used to taking care of it by herself it kind of...swallows her in her small room.]

Are you sure? I wouldn't want you to walk around barefoot... I'm perfectly fine with staying in my room.

Allen said the buildings disappeared, was it then?

[She'd gladly help! Gives her a chance to see in person just... how much of it there is. Lenalee averts her gaze and shakes her head just slightly.] It's really fine. I won't be barefoot, honestly. I have a pair of boots I can wear.

Ah... [Smiling weakly. So very, very weakly.] Yes. Yes, it was when the buildings were gone. I had to stay here, to make sure everyone stayed safe. [Something she'd failed at.] It wouldn't have been a good idea to leave when it was already so difficult to find each other, much less another city.

[You're going to have to reassure her of that but for now Rapunzel nods.] Alright, so long as you have something else to wear.

Was there something else strange going on besides the buildings being gone? It couldn't be that hard to find each other here with them gone.

A little rough ground is hardly the worst I've been through. [Trying for a joking tone, although she's being completely honest. The smile slides off her face quickly afterwards and is replaced by a murky sort of look.]

When the buildings vanished, a fog came in. We couldn't see further than a foot or two on any side and I'd been separated from everyone else when it happened. They didn't find me again until a few days after. There were strange sounds every evening and— [her voice hitches a little as she steers herself from mentioning Rhode's temper tantrum] —things got very tense. Several of us had a hard time finding one another during that time.

It still can't be very comfortable to walk on, I've been staying mostly on my bed because of the splinters in the floorboards.

There was fog too? How horrible! [No trace of sarcasm what so ever, she's genuinely shocked!] But at least everyone is alright now, aren't they?

Well— no, but... if you aren't used to anything besides stone floors, I think you're worse off than I am.

[The sincerity in the girl's reply actually surprises her. Not because she'd thought Rapunzel would react with sarcasm, but because while it had been frustrating and stressful, Lenalee wouldn't have called it 'horrible'. She wonders just how sheltered Rapunzel really is. Outwardly, however, all she offers is another faint grin.] Y-Yes, everyone is fine now.

[Physically. In a somewhat-obvious attempt to change the subject:] —Ah, why don't you tell me what room number is yours and I can bring my shoes over?

All we had at home in my tower was stone floors but I have been walking on grass and dirt recently. [Fiddling with her hair in her nervous ways.

Worse than Lenalee in some ways.] I'm glad. But if anyone ever needs any help, I can...maybe do something for them.

My room? I think it's 206.

The grass actually seems to be less rough than the floors in these apartments, unfortunately... [She scuffs her foot against the splintering wood just out of sight of the camera.] 206. I'll hurry down.

[Which is exactly what she starts to do, the feed shaking somewhat as Lenalee gets to her feet and moves out into the landing.]

...Ah... if you don't mind my asking, what do you mean by 'doing something for them'?

It was still as soft as the grass at home just doesn't smell the same. [Rapunzel smiles and nods, moving out of view since she has it propped up to move some of her hair out of the way.]

Well... Just help them feel better, more comfortable, make sure they're not in any sort of pain. You know, that sort of thing. [And sing their injuries away while they're asleep and no one is around.]

Nothing here smells the same at home. I wouldn't go very near the town market if I were you—everything there is rotted. [Trying so very hard not to stare at the sheer amount of golden hair everywhere...]

And I'm sure... everyone... will appreciate that.

[The spontaneous injury healing especially.]

I'll keep it in mind, but we do have to clean it up eventually... [Sounds very vehement on this idea even as she trails off, wants to clean this place up.]

I hope so, every little bit helps!

No, I— I agree. It'd be better for all of us. [Trying on a weak smile. Rapunzel sure is an enthusiastic girl... The feed jitters while Lenalee takes the stairs at a mild jog, but her smile still comes across.]

It does— especially in a place like this. I wish we could live in better conditions than this.

Oh good. Do you know where I might be able to find a broom? Or things to make one with to keep people from going over the bridge for things. [Sweeping this place will tear her broom up but that's alright. She's your daily dose of sunshine, Lenalee! Take it and slowly start to get back your own enthusiasm!]

We just have to work hard at making this place the best we can.
