[There's a soft groan from the other side of a rock that the PDA currently has a view of, a girl's soft voice as she wakes up.]

Pascal...? Eugene...?

[A blond head can now be seen but only the top of it, the sharp intake of breath as she realizes she's not where she's supposed to be.]

Pa-Pascal?! [Her tone is frantic now, scared.] Eugene!! [She gets to her feet, balance unsteady but you still don't get to see her face, just a long braid full of flowers.]

Pascal! [A discovery! She rushes over to this Pascal that's off screen, murmuring in low and worried tones that aren't picked up as the feed times out.]

[ ...At least for the moment. Troubling how it sounds like Libitina brought two arrivals at the same time, though. ]

Is your friend hurt?

[Sob. Another sane seeming person. Not that the other's aren't. But. Yanno.

But by now she's talked to everyone above for a little bit. Still seems a little unsure and scared but okay for the most part.]

Is it safe here if I'm considered a toy? [An honest question, but. He's asking about Pascal. ] Pascal i-is fine. He was just knocked out like I was...

[A quick smile as he sets his PDA on the tabletop to keep it steady, then lifts both hands in a calming gesture.]

Afraid you've got me there, Miss, but I can at least promise you're safe for the moment.

[He cocks his head at the screen then, as if that'll help give him a better look at her surroundings.]

Knocked out? Is he recovering all right? [ frown ] I have some medical supplies on hand, if you think that'll help.

[Oh, she's sufficiently calm for now. Still a bit scared and unsure, but that's normal.] Rapunzel. And I'm not sure how a graveyard with open graves is supposed to be safe. I'm afraid I might fall in one and get stuck.

[Enter Pascal rolling his eyes at Allen as she pulls back the hand he's on and looking at the chameleon.] He's fine, woke up soon after I did.

Allen Walker; it's a pleasure. [ Now have a sympathetic wince. ] Libitina left you in the graveyard? I'm so sorry to hear that.

[It's such bad taste.]

Has anyone told you about this place, or offered to show you to the apart--

[THIS FACE. Sup Pascal, looking mighty fine today.]

[It's enough to startle a laugh out of Allen, but one of relief.]

He does look fine. [In every sense of the word. Leans to the side so Timcanpy can hover into view and flap a wing at Rapunzel in greeting.] Hello, Pascal. It's nice to meet you too.

[She smiles a little at his name and nods. See? Not a scary man with sharp and pointy teeth.] Well, not in it. Pascal was in it on a headstone. The fence made it feel a bit...well, safer. [Sob. Oh, there's her frying pan.]

[Nodding again.] A man named Cross Marian offered to come and get me. [And perhaps smiling a little more at Allen's laugh, then peering sightly at Tim.] What is that? []

[Blinks at the frying pan, it's a bit of an odd thing to be carrying around. Was she perhaps in the process of fixing a meal when she got uprooted? And oh, he really shouldn't have gone there, because now his stomach's rumbling in response. He looks sheepish for a moment, but quickly quells it with sheer will.]

[MOVING ON as if that didn't just happen.]

That's a relief, then. If you watch where you're stepping until you make it to the fence, you should be able to follow it to the gates without much trouble. I'm afraid the scenery outside isn't much of an improvement, but at least it's outside.

And that's―

[He also sees what you're doing there, Master. So hard. Allen has half a mind to go fetch Rapunzel instead, but it seems Cross is already on his way, and if nothing else, Cross is at least a perfect gentleman to ladies.

Allen will just have to keep an eye on his Master when they get back.]

―good to hear! I hope you don't mind me keeping you company until he gets there, then. [ holds out a hand for Tim to perch on ] It's my golem, his name's Timcanpy.

[Her mighty weapon! Though, honestly, if supplied with a kitchen and some food she wouldn't mind fixing Allen something to eat? She hears the rumbling noise and it makes her pause with a confused expression on her face.

One that changes to a listening one when Allen starts talking again.] Wouldn't it be keeping whatever is dangerous out there out of where I am? I-I don't think the dead would mind me much just hanging out until he comes...

[Sob. Pascal is already going to keep an eye on him. ~~She's frightening him with being a fairy tale come to life anyway. :|a~~

Smiling.] I don't think I'd mind. I don't see anyone else nearby offering to talk. [A strained grin at being in a graveyard with the dead that shouldn't even be popping up. But it wouldn't surprise her if they did.] He's very...pretty. Hello, Timcanpy. [Little wave.

Pascal eyes the golem. ]

[He wouldn't mind that either! Maybe someday, if they can get a working kitchen up and running.]

[laughing as Tim swells with pride:] Careful, he already has quite an ego!

[...Must come from hanging around Cross for so many years. He sobers after that, though, careful not to appear serious to avoid dampening the mood too much, but he does look very earnest.]

You'll find there isn't anything more dangerous than some unstable buildings out there, Miss Rapunzel.

[Huh. Allen hadn't given her name much thought at first, being more focused on the possibility that someone might be hurt, but now that he's addressing her by it ― what a quaint name.]

The city's empty except for a handful of us, all brought here from different worlds. How much have you been told so far?

[Until that time she'll keep using it as a weapon.

She grins.] It's alright, I know how to deflate them as well.

[Rapunzel relaxes a little at that, not too much considering she's still in a graveyard with open graves and things.] That makes me feel a bit better. No thugs or ruffians?

[Very important question. Don't let your pondering of her "quaint" name distract you from answering it.]

Other than my room number and the name of this place? Not much, I'm afraid.

[Have a matching grin at that; maybe he doesn't have to worry so much about Cross after all.]

Always a handy skill to have, I say. But no, none that I know of. There are only about a dozen of us here and we're all quite the decent sort.

[...Relatively speaking. He scratches a cheek awkwardly, then takes a breath and continues, in the staunch manner of someone who has done this many times before:]

I'm afraid this is going to get lengthy, then. Basically, Libitina has been bringing people from different worlds for her own entertainment. She calls us her toys, as you've learned by now, and plays with us by making strange things happen each month, usually lasting for a week. We're left to survive on our own otherwise.

[She'll hit him with the frying pan and call for Allen. :|]

That's a relief, though some of them aren't all that bad once you share your dreams. [Long story, don't ask.

But listening now!] Libitina is the girl that gave me the room, then? [She can't be that bad if she gives them shelter, right?] What kind of...strange things?

[Her remark gets a blink and a slight raise of white eyebrows out of Allen, but though it may an unusual thing to say, he doesn't find the principle all that disagreeable.]

That― Sounds like it has quite a story behind it, though I must confess it's not one I've had the privilege of experiencing yet. Suppose I'd better tkae your word for it.

Yes, that's her. We don't know much about her beyond her name, except that she's a spirit and answers to no one but her master. [tone leaning towards dry:] It varies. We've been through everything from losing one of our senses to having all shelter taken away―

―and gotten out of them relatively unscathed. I realise it's a lot to take in, but I promise it's not that bad if we all stick together until we find the way home.

[An easy sort of grin.] It was fun, Eugene and I got to know a lot of really nice people that way. ["Nice." Such a relative term.]

So she is a ghost then... [Tyki mentioned it, her being a ghost. And now Rapunzel is looking around the graveyard for her. Aren't ghosts supposed to haunt graveyards?]

S-so long as everyone's alright I guess. [Pauses. Wait.] Th-there's no way home?

[PDA gets a view of her hair now, very close up.] Oh, gosh. Mother's going to kill me. Eugene's going to worry where I am, he's probably looking for me right now. Oh, I hope he's alright. I hope mother doesn't kill him for losing me...

[Cottoning on to her thoughts:] It's alright! She doesn't show up often, and when she does, it's always through the network.

[The graveyard is haunted, but. Let's not frighten her needlessly. There's a sympathetic pause after Rapunzel's dismayed outburst, followed by a soft tap-tap from the PDA that will hopefully make her feel less alone.]

[as gently as possible:] Not that we've found. We're still looking, but... At the moment, it looks like Libitina only sends people home at random, sometimes bringing them back again after a while. There doesn't seems to be a pattern. If it helps, though, we've found out that time back home is on hold while we're here. When people are sent home, they're always returned to the exact point in time from which they were taken. I'm sure your mother and friend are both doing fine! We'll just have to work on finding a way out as soon as possible, so you can get back to what you were doing.

[Yes, please no more frightening of the poor girl. We've had quite enough of that for today.

Glancing back at the PDA when Allen starts talking, her worried and concerned expression - almost "crushed" herself - slowly starts to ease off.] I-it doesn't change at home? So they don't know that I'm gone?

[firmly:] No, and you'll have no memory of your stay here when [ note that he doesn't say 'if' ] you return.

So I could have been here before and I wouldn't remember it?

I meant when you return home, but yes, there have been cases when people came back to Nesreca without memories of their previous stay. As far as I'm aware of, this is your first time here.

[Relaxes more.] So I won't remember Nesreca when I go home, not even as a dream?

I'm afraid not.

[He tried. It's probably better this way for some people, though.]
